October Wishlist: Goth Glamour

It's the most wonderful time of the year and in the spirit of All Hallows Eve this week, I thought it only fitting to share my top Halloween picks. A few of you may have already noticed that, yes, the majority of the selection is indeed Topshop but I truly believe no other store does festivities better.

1) Victoriana Tea Dress, £50 from Topshop. I absolutely love the simplicity of this dress yet the lace detail and finishings makes it so elegant. The length is perfect to show just enough leg to prevent it from looking just a little too Downton Abbey and the see-through waist is just enough sex appeal without taking away the elegance of the dress. At £50, it is a little pricey but worn enough times, I think you can justify it.

2) Bat Print Mini Skirt, £36 from Topshop. With a high fashion cut, this skirt is the perfect blend of spooky and trend. The bat print is really nice without being too obviously Halloween which means it can be worn throughout A/W. And at £36, you'd expect to be able to wear it for more then just October. The skirt does come up incredibly short, however, so if you can find this in a Tall, might be a good option else you might be feeling the need to pull it down regularly.

3) Tulle Strappy Midi Dress, £30 (you guessed it) Topshop. When I wear this dress it makes me feel like a Gothic ballerina princess. I really like the length, the tulle fabric is super soft to avoid looking cheap and like you made it at home and I think can be dressed up or down to create a variation of looks. Definitely not bad for a £30 dress. Also comes in grey if black isn't always your thing.

4) Knitted Sequin Fluffy Jumper, £38 Topshop. For this price, this is definitely one of Topshop's cheaper knitwear pieces. I really like the fluffy jumper at the moment; it's warm, its on trend and easy to throw on over anything.

5) The Damned Lipstick, £6 Topshop. Sorry to sound repeative but as I've mentioned in previous posts, Topshop lipsticks really seem to nail it when it comes to high fashion, statement colours. Purple lips are the ideal blend of goth.

6) Halloween Character Nail Wraps, £5.50 by Topshop. I've not had the best luck with nail wraps in the past. For the price, they simply do not last long enough but if you're looking to add a subtle detail to a festive look, nail wraps do make a cute addition with very little work involved. I find if you apply them to the nail (preferably an acrylic and/or filed down nail)  and quickly run a cool hair dryer over them to melt them to surface of the nail. This will buy you an extra day out of them and prevent these cute little monsters coming off on a night out.

7) Topshop Socks, 3 for £8. Another quick and easy way to get involved is which the Topshop selection of Halloween themed socks which come in a variety of colours and are an excellent touch to your look.

8) Silver Cresent Moon Ring, £70 from Bloody Mary Metal. I am obsessed with this jewellery at the moment. Bloody Mary infuses stunning handmade jewellery with bones, moons, hearts and earth symbols to create unique, on trend pieces that can be worn time and time again without tarnishing. Having spotted a gap in the market, Bloody Mary are definitely on the up and my top pick at the moment. The only thing I would say is that I wish they did more in Gold as it is very rare that I wear silver but with such pretty and limited edition designs, I might be swayed. A girl can only hope she gets treated this Christmas!

9) Last but not least (we got there in the end), The Bat Clutch from Asos, £18. Chanel meets monster, simple yet quirky and the perfect Halloween accessory for any night out. This bag is the perfect size for your all your night out essentials and, again, a simple way to vamp up for drinks.

So there you have it, my top Halloween fashion picks. Hope everyone has a fantastic Halloween!
