Travel Diary: Berlin Abenteuer Day Two

Further adventures today and it was so jam-packed I'm not sure how I'm going to fit it all in to this post. It's day two of my amazing trip to Berlin and we managed to cram in a whole weeks worth of sight seeing into just a few hours...

Today we must have walked miles; starting at Checkpoint Charlie, venturing up to the site of the Gestapo Headquarters (now the Topography of Terror and main chunk of the Berlin Wall), Reichstag, Holocaust memorial, the Soviet Memorial and to the very top of the Victory Column. And it wouldn't be a holiday without a stop by the river at Tiergarten and Berlin Zoological Garden which was amazing! We headed out for dinner at a (semi)authentic German Bier Hall in Alexanderplatz for some steins, schnitzel and sausage. In keeping with the white theme, I opted for this little number for the night time...

To conclude our fun-filled day of extensive sightseeing, we ended up at a swanky Berlin cocktail bar and got to see Berlin by night in all it's glory. Pretty pricey at 11euro a drink (at it's cheapest) but when in Rome Berlin. It's such a beautiful city! That's all for this short but sweet post of ramblings. I'll leave you guys with some more holiday snaps and a better look at what I wore...
