Lifestyle Review: Valentine's Day Wishlist 2015

The day that singles and our wallets dread will soon be upon us and I have completely fallen prey to it. Anything glittery or heart shaped goes a long way with me, and so, in true tradition - I thought why not make a wish list for such an occasion? Whether you're planning a Netflix binge or have something special planned with your friends or partner, I've picked out some of my favourite romance-inspired finds - here is my Valentine's Day wish list.

1. 'Pizza For Breakfast' Pyjamas - £28 from Topshop. I've become a bit of a PJ fiend lately and I can't seem to resist buying them. Nothing is more satisfying that putting on a fresh pair of Pjs and snuggling up with a movie marathon. And it has little love hearts on the bottoms! Pizza and love go hand in hand.

2. "Hello You" Glitter Photo dome, £4 from Paperchase. Paperchase always have the cutest pieces for every time of year. I love this little frame! I'm always looking for trinkets for my desk and this is so 90's.

3. Heart Narrow Belt, £2.99 from H&M An absolute bargain for this belt that can be worn all year round. I find I'm immediately draw to anything heart shaped and this is a cute way to accessorise.

4. Simpson's Valentine's Day Card, Etsy. I'm a card person. Every given occasion, I'm always in search for the perfect card and 9 times out of 10 I find it on Etsy. Etsy is always full of amazing handcrafted, personalised cards for any occasion. I found this awesome Simpson's card amongst others with all my favourite film and TV show references.

5. Instax Mini 8 Camera, £60-90, Amazon I've told myself I need to just man up and buy one. Jack and I booked our Disney holiday last week and I think it would be a really lovely way of logging our stay. Annoyingly, the film is approx £20 for a 10 pack which is pretty pricey on top of the cost of the camera...I will get one.

6. Cat face mug, £12, Urban Outfitters Having sent close to £100 in Primark this month, I had to leave UO to stop me buying this but look how amazing! For all you crazy cat ladies out there, like myself, this is love.

7. SWIFTHEART Slipper Shoes, £26, Topshop Swift definitely springs to mind with these cute shoes. Very Taylor-esk. I love anything with a sweetheart design and they would make a perfect transition from smart to fashion wear. Very practical and pretty!

8. High Beam Highlighter, £19.50, Benefit Recently I was looking for a new highlighter and this one really impressed me. Despite an odd applicator (not to be confused with a nail varnish), High Beam gives an incredible, high reflective glow to the skin. At £19.50, its a more high end product but like with all Benefit items, it lasts and gives flawless results.

9. Matte Lipstick in Chili, M.A.C Cosmetics, £15.50, If you can get your hands on it, Chili is a smouldering red shade to add to your collection. I have a million red lipsticks but this is a unique, deep red and it really caught my eye. You can't ever go wrong with M.A.C Matte lips.

10. Scallop Cut Out Wrap Dress, £36, Topshop Everyone needs a little black dress on Valentine's Day for when all else fails. I love the scallop design on this and though the design is simple, I also think it is classic and a piece you can wear over and over again. The little cut-out shows just enough skin without being too over the top and I love it.

So there you have it, my top Valentine's day picks! What are you hoping to receive this Valentine's? As for my plans this year, I have no idea but I'm just as happy having a lovely dinner at home with a movie as I am fine dining. Whatever you're up to this year, have a good one - leave me comments below!

Lots of love,

  5. My boyfriend bought me an Instax mini for Christmas, you should definitely get one they are so good! I buy my film off of eBay, most eBay shops sell it for £16 for 2 packs of ten, but my friend found one that was £14 for 2 packs for her Instax - still pretty pricey but a bargain compared to other places!

    1. Yeah the film was the only thing annoying me haha I have several polaroid cameras but they're so bulky to take on holiday and so hard to find the film now. I like that with the instax you can control the light easier and work out what you're getting more then with the older polaroid cameras. I think everyone's convinced me haha x

  8. Fantastic job here. I actually enjoyed what you had to say. Keep going because you unquestionably bring a new voice to this subject. Not many people would say what youve said and still make it interesting. Well, at least Im interested. Cant wait to see much more of this from you.
