Lifestyle Review: iFlorist Bouquet

iflorist review
I had a rather nice surprise last Friday to find that these flowers had arrived at my door. Now, I'm very lucky and my boyfriend spoils me with flowers quite often BUT these were not from a loved one but sent from iFlorist for me to share with you. So here is my very honest iFlorist review...

So Valentine's Day and Mother's Day have both been and gone and so it feels like strange timing but iFlorist kindly offered to send me over a bouquet of my choice for review. Being me, I went for something pink and summery! I truly think flowers can make the room feel so much nicer and I always happier when I have fresh flowers around. However, I'm not sure just how fresh these were...

I really love the colours in this set and I was impressed to find freesias which are often pricey and they smell amazing. This particular bouquet, Heaven Scent (Medium)* will set you back a nifty £35 which I found surprising given the size and that it is heavily made up of carnations. For me, this seemed more like a small then a medium and something you could get for around £10 in your average supermarket. One thing I found a little disappointing was that a few appeared to be broken and as I conquered the rather exasperating packaging, a few more appeared to be a bit wilted or going brown.

The package also came with a lovely bar of chocolate (in sea salt flavour which was interesting yet not bad!) and a card. iFlorist offer both a selection of cards, champagne, chocolates as well as hundreds of choices of flowers and gift sets for any occasion. I thought the card and chocolate was a nice, unexpected treat.

Whilst I'm pretty happy with my complimentary bouquet, I'm not sure how happy I would be if I spent £35 and this arrived. As you can see above, at nearly a week old, the freesias have only just come out looking amazing but the other's are now dying. Coming in the post, I feel you always run the risk of flowers being broken and bent or not matching up to the photographs and it's an unfortunate risk you take when ordering. If you are ordering flowers online, I would expect something half decent and value for money. Still, iFlorist's service is seemingly quick and easy for all occasions if you want to order some on the sly or don't have the time to make the trip.

You can check out iFlorist here and let me know what you think. Have you used iFlorist before? What have your experiences been like? As always, I love hearing your comments so please do leave some below.

Until next time,

  1. Flowers in the post seems a bit of a risk to me, especially for the price. I'm glad you were honest about feeling a bit unsure about them. I agree - not a massive bunch for £35 either!

    1. Yeah I agree. I think it's lovely to receive though I wouldn't want to pay such an amount for them. Hopefully I don't get in to trouble for being too honest haha, thanks for your comment hun xx

  2. These flowers look so pretty! It's a shame that they have wilted and were expensive.

  5. The flowers do look lovely! And sea salt chocolate is definitely a nice addition. ;P It's refreshing to see someone be so honest in a review that isn't super rave-y. I think I would probably be wary about ordering flowers online, though it is a really neat idea maybe for people in long distance relationships or something!

    1. Yeah it was a surprisingly good flavour! Ah thanks, I was worried it would come across a bit moany haha but wanted to be honest! Yeah it's kind of an inevitable risk when ordering anything online but I'm sure some people have had good experiences of it too. Ha that's a good point, never thought of that! x

  6. I have to say, I would NOT be happy to receive this for £35. But it's not because it isn't pretty - it really is a beautiful bunch! But you can find alternatives just as good, but a lot cheaper. I'm definitely a fan of flowers, my boyfriend buys me them often, and sometimes I buy them for myself! They can cheer up any room :) But hey, they seemed to last really well!

    1. Yeah I agree, I think maybe £15 would be fairer. I totally agree, Marks and Spencer do beautiful bunches for around £15-20 and usually come with a vase too! Ah that's so good he treats you and that you treat yourself too! I definitely think I'm happier when I have flowers in the house! xx

  7. Ah, I love flowers and these look super cute! I wouldn't be too happy to spend 35 for this ammount eather... My dad ordered roses for my mum once from some online shop and they were really nice. It always has its own risks.
You've got a lovely blog, just started to follow :)

    1. Yeah it's pretty pricey! I know people who have ordered online and had no trouble at all! I think it's worth it if it pays off. Aw thanks hun, I've just checked out yours too! I really like it :) x

  8. I LOVE an honest review (as you'll know from our conversation before you posted this review) and I have to say you have pulled it off lovely. The flowers look gorgeous but the wilting is not fun especially for the price they retail for - still lovely to receive some flowers <3

  9. They're very nice flowers but perhaps not worth buying online for that amount. I like that you told the truth about them! Aimee ox
