Firmoo Review: Through the Looking Glass

Firmoo glasses review
There are few things I opt out of when it comes to buying online and usually you would think prescription glasses would be one of them. However, I broke my usual rule when I was recently contacted by Firmoo to try out their online, visual try and buy prescription lenses...

Firmoo online glasses
I do trust my fellow bloggers but I'm always kind of suspicious when I know they've been gifted something to write about. I've been guilty of it myself and found myself over playing a gift and so when I saw Firmoo popping up all over the place I was unsure but thought I'd give them a go.
It's always tricky when buying glasses online as you never know that they're going to suit, fit or even be the correct prescription. I did buy my Raybans online, having tried the style in store, and so usually play this kind of thing safe so you can imagine I was a little apprehensive when Firmoo got in touch. But I was pretty pleased and surprised by the range of vintage inspired styles.

Firmoo blog review
Sticking with the Ray-Ban-esk style, I thought I'd get myself a second pair but this time in a darker, tortoise shell frame*. Despite having a few teething problems, once I worked how to use the site it was pretty easy. You can upload a chosen photo of yourself and try the different glasses on virtually to give a better idea of the shapes and style to fit your face.
Offering both RX sunglasses and a range of reading and single vision lenses, you can attach a photo of your prescription or enter it manually (though I would recommend attaching a photo if you are unsure how to read your prescription). I made the mistake of entering mine incorrectly and now I have a pair I unfortunately can't wear.

Firmoo glasses
Despite shipping from over-seas, the glasses came super quickly and with a few unexpected extras. The package came with...
  • A hardcase with a rather dashing map print
  • A cloth to clean the glasses
  • And a glasses kit to adjust or tighten the frames.
Overall, I'm pretty impressed with the service and the options which seem to be pretty much anything you can think of in terms of adding polaroid, thickness of lenses, the list is endless.

If you're a designer frame kinda gal then Firmoo are probably not for you but they do offer a wide range of low-value frames and lenses. I'm not quite sure if I'll get much wear out of these if I do choose to change the lenses but I think as a whole their service was good. I'm certainly up for seeing how I go with them and to see if they stand the test of time. Click HERE to get 15% off your first pair!

If you're blind like me, where do you get your glasses from? What do you think of Firmoo's glasses? I really should wear my glasses more and I unintentionally blank a lot of people in the street as a result of my blindness. I'm hoping these new babies will encourage me a little more!

Until next time guys,

  5. You chose such a lovely pair! I was surprised at how good the quality of mine were for the price. It's a shame about your lenses though, hopefully you can get them sorted at some point!

  6. So other than the problem with not using a photocopy of your prescription, was the kit that came with it enough to make the glasses fit properly? I had laser surgery about ten years ago. The thing I remember most about the surgery was the smell of the tissue being ablated. I was pretty calm during the surgery and my surgeon knew what he was doing so it came out well for me. But before that, a had a strong prescription for nearsightedness.

    1. Yeah they fit me fine. They ask for how far away your pupils are from each another anyway so they fit fine. I hardly ever wear my glasses anyway, though I should! Wow weird, never considered surgery as mine aren't really bad enough but I hear it does wonders

  7. That's such a great idea that you can upload a picture of yourself and see which glasses suit you! I don't personally wear glasses, but I think this sounds like such a good service for people that do. Great post x

  9. Hi everyone! Life without my boyfriend was a real mess for me,What on Earth will i do to thank Dr.Unity for his help? he is wonderful and has a good heart. He is like a God on Earth and i really do not know what to do to thank him for helping me regain my boyfriend love back with his spell. After being in relationship with my boyfriend (Andrew) for 3 years, he broke up with me, I did everything possible to bring him back but all was in vain, I wanted him back so much because of the love I have for him, I begged him with everything, I made promises but he refused. I explained my problem to someone online and she suggested that I should rather contact a spell caster that could help me cast a spell to bring him back but I am the type that never believed in spell, I had no choice than to try it, I mailed the spell caster, and he told me there was no problem that everything will be okay before two days, that my ex will return to me before two days, he cast the spell and surprisingly in the second day, it was around 4pm. My ex called me, I was so surprised, I answered the call and all he said was that he was so sorry for everything that happened, that he wanted me to return to him, that he loves me so much. I was so happy and went to him, that was how we started living together happily again. Since then, I have made promise that anybody I know that have a relationship problem, I would be of help to such person by referring him or her to the only real and powerful spell caster who helped me with my own problem and who is different from all the other ones out there. Anybody could need the help of the spell caster, like of issue of not being able to get pregnant for many years, lotto, his email is: Unityspelltemple@gmail.com or call him on +2348072370762 you can email him if you need his help in your relationship or any other problem like wining lottery your problem can never remain the same again, it will turn a thing of the past in your life..I am Katy Brown by name i live here in Los Angeles, California United States.
