Lifestyle Review: May'15

Hello, hello! So it's already June and so it's time to recap the past month! May is, of course, my favourite month of the year - lots of birthdays (including my own) and with my holiday and countless other events, it felt like I didn't get much of rest. Having had such a great month, I thought I'd share my May photo diary...

Of course, you all know by now that we went to Disneyland Paris for a week where we couldn't of asked for better weather. It was an amazing week, the park was pretty much dead the whole time and I was so sad to come home again. You can see my video of it here.

Both me and Jack turned 24 this month which meant a lot of good eating, presents and drinks out on the town. I felt super spoilt by all my lovely and amazing pressies! My friend Vanessa came to see me and Jack and we headed to CAU at St. Katharine's Dock for the best steak and pancakes I've ever had followed by some drinks on the South Bank. For Jack's birthday, he opted for a sunny day out shopping and eating in Shoreditch where we ate all the food and had drinks at the Box Park with some friends. I had the largest pizza at Voo-Doo Rays, Brick Lane - how did Jack manage two slices of this?!
As if Disney rides weren't enough, Vanessa and I also headed to Thorpe Park the day after my birthday. We had the perfect theme park conditions - hardly any people, no queuing and sunny all day! I truly loved all the rides I went on this month and makes me think I should visit theme parks even more.
I felt so lucky this month to take part in some fun collaborations and be invited to some film-related events! Disney invited me to their advanced screening of Tomorrowland: A World Beyond which I felt very privileged to attend and even spotted David Hasselhoff there too! It was also my Dad's birthday so I took him, Jack and my mum along to see it also in IMAX which was a great birthday treat for him.
And Virgin gave me an added birthday treat at their Gourmet Cinema Club. I felt really lucky and a free night out in London is always appreciated!

Despite two bank holidays, I still felt pretty worn out after all this month's excitements. It's been an awesome month and I'm sad to see it over so quickly. I am, however, really excited for June and the treats it has in store - not to mention Star Wars Secret Cinema and a trip to Bristol!
How was your May? Let me know what you got up to, as always I love reading your comments!

On a very quick side note - my dad is doing yet another epic charity walk and this time it is for Macmillian Cancer Support. If you can spare even £1 for cancer support, please please check out his page HERE. He does so much for charity and it means the world for your donations no matter how small. Only takes two minutes too!

Until next time, have a great week y'all,

  2. HOORAY FOR THE HOFF! Looks like you had an awesome May, I feel like the whole month has sped by ridiculously fast. I really want to do Star Wars Secret Cinema but the price is terrifying - might snap some tickets up for my boyfriend's birthday though, he's a massive fan!

    1. Haha love the Hoff! I really did, where did it go?! Yeah it's like £78 a ticket :/ but I haven't been before (and probably won't ever afford to again after this one!) so I thought I'd do it. I'm such a big Star Wars fan, I would be so gutted to miss it. Your bf would LOVE it! If you get to go you'll have to tell me what you thought of it! xx

  4. It's really nice that all your birthdays are so close together so you could have a big celebration. How far away was David Hasselhoff? I had to google to understand what the secret cinema was. Empire Strikes Back is my favorite of the series. I have a cousin who had leukemia so I think it's great what your father is doing. She's been in remission for many years. I tried putting that message on his page but it said I exceeded the characters. I hope that June is a great month for you, Sophie! xx

    1. I honestly can't thank you enough, that's so sweet of you. Thanks so much! I hope your cousin is on the mend now?
He was close enough that you could see both his and his gf's very orange glow! He was wearing all white too, such swagger haha.
Ah yes! Secret Cinema is something they do every year and it's usually amazing so very excited about this year! Last year they did Back to the Future.
Thanks again, I really appreciate it x

    2. Oh, my cousin has been healthy and active for years. She contracted leukemia when she was a teen and underwent extensive treatments. When I say she's been in remission, it means they have to check to ensure it doesn't come back but otherwise she's healthy.

    3. Yes, my cousin was in remission for 5 years but she's all clear now thankfully. She had the same condition when she was just 15. Glad your cousin is ok!
