Lifestyle Review: Austravel Bloggers Swap

Hello, hello! Happy Friday! Today's post is hoping to introduce a touch of sunshine to this rainy day! A little while ago, I was approached by Austravel to take part in their Us and Aus campaign. Paired up with a blogger from Australia, we were given £50 each to send one another a package filled with fashion and beauty treats, only available in our country. Having sent my partner a box filled with British gifts, here's what I got in return...

Us and Aus  is an online tool which compares differences between Australia and the UK (and not just differences in the weather and attractions). I was asked if I would be take part in a bloggers package swap and, of course, I accepted! My package included your standard British beauty and fashion items - Soap 'N' Glory, Claire's, Henry Holland, Barry M, Primark plus some sweets- all things I was surprised to learn that our Aussie friends don't have. I was paired with quirky fashionista and Aussie blogger, Hayley from FashionHayley and she kindly sent me this amazing package filled with treats from the other side of the world!

I was so excited to see I'd been paired with Hayley as we seemed to share a love of pink and all things fruity, fun and fluffy. I love how beautifully wrapped it is and ALL THE PINK! Inside the adorable wrapping and sparkle, was these! Dairy Milk Koala chocolate (pretty similar to a caramel Freddo but it did taste different!), some vegemite Dairy Milk (the strangest thing I've ever tasted!) These Velourlips lip creams are the Australian dupe version of Lime Crime velvetine and, have a similar look, vibrant colour and finish to them which is awesome. I was really impressed with these!

Julie White printed socks - Julie White is an independent fashion designer who creates amazing prints such as these amazing fruit print long socks! In keeping with the funky patterns and pastels also was this gorgeous spotted, pastel makeup bag. Also just visible is this adorable watermelon keyring (which I love). This from Hayley's favourite shop, Gorman, which features some amazing  premium clothing and accessories.

Hayley informed me that Sportsgirl is sort of the Australian Topshop and, like ours, they have their own makeup like this adorable eye-shadow palette! Strangely, it even feels and looks like our Topshop makeup.

Have you ever had a bloggers swap? What are your favourite beauty and fashion imports? Thanks to Hayley for this gorgeous package and, of course, Austravel travel for setting it up! Hope everyone's keeping out of the rain today and looking forward to the weekend! Let me know what you're up to in the comment section below.

Have a good one!

    1. Not that I know of, I did manage to find most of the bits online though. The Velourlips are really good LC dupes and those are online in different colours :) I sent her a few pairs of primark socks, a floral crown, some Henry Holland nails, some Barry M lipsticks and nail varnish, Dairy Milk and Caramac bars and some other little bits! x

  4. Did Hayley know that pink is your favorite color, Sophie? If so, it was very nice of her to wrap your package up that way :)

  6. What a brilliant idea! Would love to do this, I don't get to go abroad much and I very rarely buy things from another country because of shipping - I love the element of surprise to it!! :)
