Jewellery Review: Gold Casio and House of Watches

Hello, hello! How was everyone's weekend? I went to away Southampton last week and when I got home, I found that House of Watches had left a rather wonderful package on my doorstep. Here's my review...

House of Watches are an online retailer which sell a whole host of brands and luxury watches. They have a simple, easy-to-use site which allows you to search any brand to find watches at a competitive price. I've always found Casio to be super reliable and hardwearing (especially being water resistant) which is why, in the past, I have always genuinely opted for them over any other brand or designer. After-all, they fulfil all of my watch requirements - long-lasting, gold in colour, simple, vintage-looking and affordable.

A more dainty version of the usual chunky unisex style, the Casio Ladies Digital Display Watch* is a modern take on the Casio classic originally made famous in the 80s. The watch allows you to set several alarms, is easily adjusted to fit any size, water resistant and just look how pretty! I actually used to have this same watch when I was about sixteen and then got a larger sized one (they actually stock it here) which I've worn ever since.  I do, however, love the size of this one also.

Although my current watch is chunkier (just how I like it) and this one doesn't allow you to illuminate the screen in the dark, this is definitely a wonderful alternative, perhaps to wear with a dressier outfit when I want my watch to be more girly and subtle. I'm super pleased with this gift as you can't go wrong with Casio. What's your favourite watch brand/designer? Have you ever used House of Watches?

I've got loads of reviews to write over the next two weeks so stay tuned for those! I've been so luck to attend some amazing events lately (even got to meet Tom Hardy!) and can't wait to share them with you soon. Hope everyone's having a great week so far, let me know your thoughts in the comment section below!

Peace and love!

  4. I love the watch and it has been on my wishlist for such a long time. But I've now been wondering if I should get the silver or gold one as I'm wearing more silver jewellery. But I do prefer the gold one :)

    1. I'd go for silver if you tend to wear silver jewellery - all my jewellery tends to be gold and it's nice to match :) Or both since they're both awesome haha thanks for reading hun x

  7. Yes, yes, your watch looks fabulous. Now, TOM HARDY! I am so happy you got to meet him! And that's such a cute dog he has. I'm going to link the Evening Standard video on my blog. Oh, I noticed on your twitter account your article about stereotypes concerning people with tattoos. I want to put a link about that on my blog because of what you said about your personal space being broached by curious people thinking it's all right to touch you and take photos without permission. Since you said that, I'd like to get your permission to do that. Anyway, I hope you had a wonderful time with your friends in Southampton and I hope you are doing well!

    1. Yeah I couldn't believe it when I saw him, he was completely unrecognizable but awesome as always. Thanks for sharing it! His dog was adorable and so well behaved for the whole screening.

Thanks yes, I did an article for Zusterchap. It's more that it's just random strangers - I obviously don't mind so much with friends and family but people can be very stupid with things like that. Thanks so much :) Was a great weekend - how are you?

    2. I'm doing ok. Around lunchtime I realized I didn't promo your new gig at movieramblings.com so I fixed the post. I saw that you reviewed The Man from UNCLE, which I've seen. I'm planning on seeing Trainwreck this Saturday. Your tattoo article was great, Sophie! One thing that surprised me was how little you actually drink. I'm kind of the same way.

    3. Ha that's OK! You didn't have to do it at all but I appreciate it! Yeah I only tend to drink on the rare occasion that I go to visit friends in Southampton/Bristol. Other then that I don't drink at all. Too expensive and I don't like the taste haha
