Fashion Review: My Essential Autumn Shoe Collection

Hello, hello! As some of you know, my favourite time of the year is Autumn/Winter and I've already been rounding up pieces for the coming seasons' wardrobe. In doing so, I've been throwing a lot of stuff away in preparation and trying to stick to the basics -  narrowing it down to a few fashion essential pairs.

First up are these inbetweeners from Just For £5. Just for £5 recently offered to send me some items from their website and I picked these Laser Cut Loafers in Black* along with a peter pan collar, floral dress. Here in the UK, we seem to still be having the odd day of sun and warmth and so these make for a perfect inbetween shoe for work when it's a little too warm to my chunky DMs or boots. They're comfy, simple and ideal for work. I like the 70's inspiration behind them and the laser cut detail and little buckles.

In my opinion, Dr. Martens are the ultimate shoe. Every girl should own at least one pair - they're hardwearing, beautiful and always on trend. I already have my DM Classics but I really wanted a slightly more girly pair for work and for when I wear dresses. I opted for the Polley style with a T-Bar fastening. They have a classic style, they're super comfy and the soles have a life-time guarantee, making them practical and always pretty - no matter what the season. These are perfect for days like today when it's raining non-stop as they don't let the water in and the soles hold up a treat on wet  train station floors.

Not one for the rain but next up is The day-to-night statement pump. These are ideal for heading straight out after work or if you just want to rock them on the weekend anyway. I don't tend to wear heels anymore and so a statement pump is ideal for me. I'm so in love this pom-pom style and suede is everywhere at the moment. Again, I wear these ones for work or even just with a mini-skirt and thick tights on the weekend. Just £10 from Primark!

Every girl needs a pair of boots. I'm a little late to the party but I recently purchased my first pair of Vagabonds - I know, a bit late but I did it. I was eyeing these up shamelessly last year but never quite allowed myself to spend the £100 to get them. When I saw these in sale for £40, I had to have them. These are 100% leather, they have that gorgeous grungey look and they even have a comfy yet practical heel for evening wear. I purchased a similar pair from Topshop last year which were excellent Vagabond dupes, but the quality just wasn't quite there. These are definitely my new babies.

So there you have it, my top shoe essentials for the Autumn/Winter months. Of course, I still have other pairs which I'm sure I'll end up neglecting this winter but I couldn't bring myself to get rid of just yet. These are definitely my main ones for the time being. Thanks again to Just for £5 for sending over the inbetweener shoe. What are your top winter essentials? Do you have a favourite pair of shoes which reappear every year? As always, I love reading your comments so leave me some below!

Lots of love,

  2. Vagabond is one of my favorite brands when it come to shoes. I plan to buy myself a pair for next summer.
This autumn I will rock my chunky heels, or at least thats the plan. But for winter my purple martens will be all I wear since they are the best for my feet.

  9. Great choices! I am particularly in love with the gorgeous pumps with the pom pom, they are so cute and such a bargain! I am even later to the party as I have been eyeing up Vagabonds for ages but haven't yet got round to buying a pair either but I do have my trusty DMs to keep my feet warm and dry. My winter essential is a pair of calf high/knee high boots just to keep my legs and toes cozy when it gets really cold. Li x
