Lifestyle Review: My Two Year Anniversary

What better way to celebrate my two year anniversary then with my 200th blog post? Today is myself and Jack's two year anniversary as a couple but being stuck work all day, we decided to celebrate over the weekend instead. We thought we'd do our standard thing of cinema followed by food but this time, we cranked it up a notch. Here are my photos from our anniversary day out...

Our plan for the day was simple - head to London for some shopping, cinema and have an evening meal and so we made our way in to central. Jack, however, decided to lead us on a wild goose chase  around Regent Street (telling me there was a new shop he was looking for) but it turned out he was really taking me to Vivienne Westwood. We don't usually do anniversary/valentine's type presents and tend to go for a nice evening together instead but Jack surprised me with the gold and black Betsy ring I had been wanting for ages and took me to the store to make sure the sizing was correct. I absolutely love it. Whilst it may seem like a small token to some, it's high in sentimental value for me and I can't stop staring at it. Excuse my gross fingers...

Vivienne Westwood bag in hand, we made our way over to Odeon Covent Garden to watch The Martian in 3D - a movie that's been on my list for a while. I was so impressed with it and not just because it was a Ridley Scott title. For those of you who haven't seen it just yet, I'll be posting my review shortly but it was definitely a 4 out of 5 stars for me.

Having felt pretty spoilt already, Jack and I headed over to the restaurant where we had made our reservation and ordered some cocktails. We had been looking forward to eating at Hawksmoor Seven Dials all week as it had been on our list of places to eat for a long time but we definitely hadn't bargained on just how good it would be. Located just off Covent Garden, Hawksmoor Seven Dials boasts to be "the best steak restaurant in the UK" and it did not disappoint.

The food was absolutely fantastic (as you can see from the above) and the whole feel of the place was brilliant. Despite a pretty hefty bill, it was so worth it (although not sure if Jack feels the same given he was the one paying it). If you haven't been before, I strongly recommend it for a special occasion or even just a treat to yourself. You can see my full review of Hawksmoor Seven Dials here. Finally, we finished up our evening with some ice-cream and a stroll to Waterloo...

Overall, we had a really lovely day and we got back just in time to chill with some TV before bed. I can't believe it's been two years already as it just seems to have flown by. We've only been living together a year but we're hoping to move in to a new place soon so I'm hoping to share that nearer the time also. What did you get up to this weekend? As always I love reading your comments so please do leave them below.

Thanks to everyone who allowed me to get to 200 blog posts. Where does all the time go? I look back at super old ones now and hate them but they got me to where I am now, right? Have a great week everyone...

Peace and love,
