Jewellery Review: Orelia Autumn Collection

Hello, hello. Back again with another jewellery review and today I'm taking a look at a few pieces from Orelia's Autumn jewellery collection.

Some of you may know Orelia from when I featured them back in my March review or perhaps you've seen them as a concession in Topshop. No matter your style, it seems that the jewellery brand has a little something for everyone and has even recently introduced some fun temporary tattoos and hair rings (which I think are any awesome trend at the moment). The brand kindly sent me a little box of treats to share with you so let's take a little look at what was inside the package...

Up first then was this dainty Open Swallow Ring*. Beautifully detailed, the ring is open ended with gold colour plating. The two swallows sit standing upwards on either side of the opening and, in my opinion, it's super cute. When it comes to Orelia's rings, I'd recommend going a size up as unfortunately this one was a little small for me despite it being my usual size in other brands. Nether-the-less, it's a gorgeous piece of jewellery and an excellent addition to my extensive ring collection.

Next up are these Medium Hoop Earrings*. These were a little larger then I first thought when seeing them online but I still think I'd wear these on a night out. I wear hoops on a daily basis (usually much smaller ones) as I love the sort of 80s look they give but I tend to go up a size or two for evenings out. It's safe to say that hoops never go out of style and so it's always good to have them in your collection. These attach by simply separating the hoop at the fastening and closing them. Usually, I prefer proper clasp fastenings as these tend to be easier and more sturdy but, to my surprise, these didn't fall out and stayed in just fine.

The Halloween Lace Temporary Tattoo* - Now I've never really understood temporary tattoos, being so covered in actual tattoos myself. I think they're fun for festivals and things but I don't think I'd ever purchase them myself. I do, however, think that this lace temporary tattoo is a gorgeous design. I've actually wanted a mednhi style tattoo in this same position for a long time and so I was excited to see this similar design and to try out the position on myself. It's definitely made me want the tattoo even more - I love the fine details and lace effect. As with all temporary tattoos, they're simple to apply (although I did mess mine up a little because I'm never very careful with these things) and will last as long as you let them. They can be removed with some hot soapy water and a good scrubbing when you're done.

So there you have it - what do you think of these Autumn pieces from Orelia? Have you ever shopped with Orelia Jewellery? What are your thoughts on temporary tattoos? As always, I love reading your comments so please do leave them below. Thanks to Orelia for sending these over. I'll be scheduling some of next week's post as I'm away and probably going to be starved of wifi but hope everyone has an awesome weekend!

Peace and love,

  2. Ooh, I thought that faux tattoo was really pretty! I have a friend who is an illustrator, and she prints some of her designs as temporary tattoos to give to her friends. Temporary tattoos are actually a trend on the rise in the US.

  4. I always go and get a henna tattoo of a similar design I'm thinking of getting inked. Always helps reassure my decision and help me see how the placement is going to work with clothes/accessories/etc.

Just started reading your blog recently...love it!

    1. I used to do the same (well draw them on) for ages before getting any of mine - it's a good way of trying before you commit! If you do it a lot you should so do it. Thanks Hun! Thanks for checking it out xx
