Lifestyle: Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree...

Happy Christmas eve, everybody! The decorations are up, the turkey is in the oven and there's just one sleep left until Christmas Day. On Christmas eve night, there's nothing better then coming home, getting in to bed with a movie and falling asleep to lights. Having ventured to Berlin this month, I picked up some new Christmas decorations and thought it only fitting to show my 2015 miniature Christmas tree.

German Christmas markets were full of bauble stores with the weirdest, most wonderful decorations you could think of. This year, myself and Jack still have our little tree but I can't wait until next year when we'll be living in a much bigger place with a full sized tree. Here's a little look at this year's miniature tree...

In previous years I insisted on having white only decorations to go with my shabby chic bedroom. However, I've been draw to more colourful and somewhat tackier decorations this year - tacky definitely being the key word here. Up first is this tabby cat decoration from Berlin. It's not quite the correct colours of my own cat but Jack thought it would be cute to have my cat Rosie on the christmas tree and I couldn't resist.

It seemed fitting to have an actual memento from Berlin and, having spotted this amazingly tacky silver Berlin TV Tower in baubal form, I had to have it. It has a clip on the bottom of the tower so it stays up right and I just love it.

Nothing says Christmas like dinosaurs and Hollywood and so these were an obvious choice for me. I know green wouldn't usually be part of my colour scheme but how could I not feature two of my favourite things on my tree this Christmas?

I've had these two for years now. I normally don't like having Disney on my tree but my sister-in-law bought me this limited edition Jack Skellington bauble around 5 years ago and I love him more and more every year. He takes pride of place in the center of my tree - I love the detail on the casing and his stance inside the ball. You can't see very well, but there's also a little Zero in there too! Keeping it girly, I also have a little cupcake from Monsoon a few years ago.

Another one from the Berlin Christmas Markets, I saw this shell and just fell in love. In awe of everything mermaid themed and from under the sea - I had to have this and had to stop myself getting so many more. Last but not least, it seemed only fitting to purchase myself a Christmas pineapple. As you'll know if you've ever watched my youtube channel, pineapples are a pretty big deal for me.

So there you have a little glimpse at my miniature tree. What decorations do you have on your tree? What style did you opt for this year? As always, I love reading your comments so please do leave some lovely ones for me down below. Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all get spoilt rotten and have an amazing few days with friends and family, no matter where you are.

  4. Oh that's a great tree! Do you already have a place picked out for next year or are you still looking around? My mother is ill so I'm spending Christmas with her and my dad at the hospital in California. I'm trying to figure out a restaurant that is open today where I can pick up food. I was thinking a place called El Pollo Loco which is similar to Nando's. Someone told me it will be a very cheeky thing to do. My mother has recovered a great deal but she is still resting. I am going to try to make the most out of Christmas. I hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, Sophie!

    1. Thanks Gil. We're just looking at the moment but we know the area that we'll be hoping to move to. We've found a few that we love the look of. Oh I'm sorry to hear that! I hope she's on the mend and home soon, that's good you can spend Christmas with them both still. Nandos is indeed pretty cheeky! Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas together and a Happy New Year to you also :)

  7. I love the Jack Skelington bauble! As I went to Spain, I didn't put a tree up, but keep collecting baubles and trinkets, and I love the bright coloured ones! My favourite this year is a lipstick from Harrods! So girly and definitely tacky ha!
