Outfit of the Day: The Embroidered Jacket

It's been a long time since my last Outfit of the Day and this one is long overdue. Just before Christmas, I snapped up something I consider to be a timeless piece for any wardrobe in the form of a brushed velvet jacket and I thought I'd share it with you all today...

Embroidered Jacket, Mango | Black High Neck Swing Dress, Nobody's Child* | 15d Tights, Primark | Wide Brim Fedora Hat, H&M | Chunky Shoes, Vagabond | All Seeing Eye and Sun Necklace, H&M | Lip colour, Barry M Tan Lip Pencil | Eyeshadow, Rule by MAC Cosmetics

Brushed velvet and floral embroidery never go out of style and that's why I just couldn't resist this gorgeous jacket from Mango. It just oozes vintage and can be dressed up or down for a day out in London or a night at the pub. The jacket itself does come up rather small and so I'd recommend getting the size up if you can but otherwise it's super comfy and practical. I've paired mine with this Black High Neck Swing Dress* from Nobody's Child, my beloved wide brim fedora and some vagabond chunky shoes. For those of you who don't already know, Nobody's Child are probably one of my favourite new online stores. I love their affordable, on-trend designs and I've worn this dress non-stop since receiving it from them before Christmas. I'll be posting much more on these guys soon!

It's proven pretty hard over the winter to post blog photos. It's finding the time, the daylight and a clear day not to mention finding the energy to actually do it. Whilst I'm sure I'll still be posting the odd outfit throughout 2016, I feel my blog has taken a different direction and I find myself moving away from fashion based posts and focusing more on movies and beauty. Perhaps once jack and I have moved in to our new flat and I have some privacy and summer comes back round, I'll post them more regularly. Only time will tell.

What's your favourite outfit at the moment? Have you ever shopped at Nobody's Child? As always, I love reading your comments so please do leave them below!

Until next time,

  2. You look stunning as always. This is going to sound really silly but unfortunately I can't wear velvet as the feel of it makes me cringe to the point I start heaving lol, so embarrassing. Also annoying as I love the look of it. The embroidered detailing on this jacket is gorgeous. xx
