Lifestyle Review: Sunday Snapshot.

Unsure of what to do on a Sunday when the sun's out and you're skint? Personally, I like to grab my camera and head to Shoreditch for a spot of sight-seeing and fine dining. By sights I mean I take poorly lit photos of street art and by fine dining, I mean a burger and chips. Here's my Sunday snapshot...

I think sometimes it's easy to forget how lucky I am to live so close to Central London. My flat is just eight miles from Hammersmith and I feel as though I should really take more advantage of the surroundings. Shoreditch is easily one of my most favourite places in London. I love that it's so culturally diverse; I love the artwork on every street corner, the vintage markets and most importantly - the food. Whilst I'm aware that it's painfully 'hipster' and I'm nowhere near cool enough to fit in with the Brick Lane crowds, that's never prevented me from making it a regular hangout on a sunny Sunday afternoon.

Before heading back, we stopped off for food at Dirty Burger opposite The Box Park and Shoreditch High Street Station. For those of you who haven't been there already, I'll be doing a proper review to follow, but it's honestly great eats to have in or takeaway. After a long day of walking all over Shoreditch, it's safe to say I'm pretty knackered. Now cosied up on the sofa, I can't believe yet another weekend has passed me by but at least it felt semi-productive. As reward, I'm refusing to move for a good few hours.

Well, that's it for my Sunday snapshot. How was your Sunday afternoon? What's your favourite thing to do on a lazy weekend? As always, I love reading your thoughts so please do leave your comments below.

Until next time,

  9. I miss living in London sometimes - I used to go to Brick Lane for a bagel! I'm a country bumpkin these days so Sunday is the day I go to the village pub, order a plate of chips and write my screenplay (that sounds so pretentious!)

  10. I never had the opportunity to see street art but I love them! I find them to be very raw and expressive, different from your usual canvas pieces.

    1. Really? You'd be surprised how much of it there is if you look in the right places :) Definitely, especially with all the Donald Trump art that seems to be about at the moment. It's always very socially relevant for sure :) x
