Jewellery Review: JewelleryBox.co.uk

It's been a while since I last posted a jewellery review and so I really hope you'll like this one. I have a lot of junk jewellery tends to tarnish rather quickly and so, I often find myself buying a few of each piece at a time to compensate. I've slowly started to build a collection of genuine gold pieces that would last a lifetime but, as we all know, gold jewellery isn't cheap. I was given a head-start, however, when I received a rather pretty, package from JewelleryBox.co.uk...

For those of you unfamiliar with the brand, Jewellerybox.co.uk are a South London based company offering quality silver and gold accessories including rings, necklaces, earrings and charms. As well as featuring some on-trend and quirky bits, they also feature some traditional pieces. When they got in touch and asked if I'd like to try out their service, naturally I was pretty excited...

First up is this 9ct Gold Hollow Puff Heart Pendant*. I've always been a bit of a sucker for heart pendants as I think they're so timeless and this one really stood out to me on the site. At first glance, I thought the pendant itself was pretty small compared to what I had imagined from the website. However, having put it on, I think it's actually a really perfect size for everyday wear and I'm really pleased with it. The website allows you to choose from a range of chain lengths but I believe mine is 15cm - resting just above the collar bone. The chain itself is very thin and therefore delicate so I have to be super careful when putting this on but I love how dainty it is. Better yet, it's 9ct gold which means no tarnishing and no green neck for me.

Next up are these adorable crescent moon Andralok 9ct Yellow Gold Stud earrings* - Again, I've always had a bit of thing for crescent moons but I've never successfully come across a pair of moon studs until now. At first, I was a bit apprehensive about the andralok fastenings as they have no butterfly and I'd never come across them before. Instead of a butterfly back, they have a small hinge which can be straight to place through the piercing, and then closed to keep the earring firmly in your ear. I was a little unsure of how well they'd stay in my ear but having worn them this week, it makes total sense! No butterfly means you can't lose the back and no discomfort when sleeping. I actually think the andralok makes it feel so much more secure and I think I'm going to look out for more like this in the future. The moon stud itself is a good size (although bigger than expected) and, being 9ct gold means no green ears. Success!

Overall, I am so so impressed with JewelleryBox.co.uk. I often get asked to try out online jewellery stores and in the past, I've turned them down or been disappointed but I'm so pleased to have found a site that offers such an extensive, affordable range of products. I also think that the packaging in which they arrived in is a really lovely touch. Thanks so so much to JewelleryBox.co.uk for sending over these adorable pieces - I haven't taken my new necklace off since!

Well, that's it for another review - have you ever shopped with JewelleryBox.co.uk? Where do you tend to buy your jewellery from? As always, I love reading your comments so please do leave me lots of lovely ones below and let me know what you've been up to lately.

Until next time,

    1. Really?? But if they're 9ct gold they shouldn't do that? That's really odd. I've showered with mine on and so far so good but will definitely be careful in future! Thanks for the tip x
