Outfit of the Day: My Summer Style with J D Williams

Hello, hello! Back again with a slightly more colourful Outfit of the Day. A few weeks ago, J D William sent me over a rather stylish number and asked me to share my summer style. Here's a little break down of my outfit...

Boho Print Midi Dress in Black Floral, J D Williams* | Tasseled Brando Saddle Bag, Dr. Martens | Valentine Leather Sandals, Dr. Martens | Wide Brim Fedora Hat, H&M (old) |  Septum Ring Clip, Ebay | Pink Pom-Pom, Primark| Lip colour, Gemini Velour Liquid Lipstick by Jeffree Star

With the summer coming (sort of), I feel my style shifting to more floaty dresses and tassels. I'm not sure what it is but the sun really seems to bring out my inner boho which is why I was rather pleased when J D Williams sent me over this Boho Print Midi Dress*. I may look grumpy in my photos but I can assure you that I really am enjoying wearing this dress. For one, I really love the print and just how fun and floaty it is. The sleeve and tassel detail is exactly what I'm on the hunt for in shops lately and the elastic waist means it makes for comfy, days out in the sun or evenings in the pub garden.

I'm pretty short so it can be hard to find midi dresses that don't actually come up as maxi. I was really pleased with the length of this dress as it's just long enough that feel like a total hippy but short enough that I'm not tripping over my skirt. My top tip for wearing midi dresses in the summer? Keep it simple. Personally, if I'm wearing a colourful print, such as this, it's best to team it with trusty accessories. I've worn mine with my newest and current favourite pair of Dr.Marten sandals along with my new beloved Dr Martens handbag.

So there you have it for another Outfit of the Day. Thanks so much to J D Williams for gifting me this dress. Hopefully with the weather getting better I can try get out and take photos for more summer style pieces. Have you ever shopped with J D Williams? What are your top style tips for summer? As always I love reading your thoughts so please do leave me lots of lovely comments below. Today is my boyfriend's birthday so I've got a special day out planned for him but I'll be back later this week with my usual ramblings.

Hope everyone has a fantastic bank holiday weekend,

  4. My summer wardrobe is basically my normal wardrobe without tights! I've always been really uncomfortable with my body in the summer. I'm going to try harder this year to relax. I love this dress on you! x

    1. Haha same here! No I know exactly what you mean. It's hard to cover up arms when it's like a million degrees out. I think 20 degrees is my actual limit before I become a mess of a person. That sounds like a great plan, I'll try to do the same too - thanks hun xx
