Beauty Review: LUSH 2016 Halloween Haul

Lush Halloween Haul
The Halloween countdown has officially begun and so it seemed only right to share yet another seasonal mini LUSH haul. Of course, LUSH Cosmetics may be famed for their amazing novelty beauty treats but at Halloween, they really out do themselves. Here's some of my favourites from this year's collection...

Lush Pumpkin Soap
Up first is the Pumpkin Soap (£4.00/90g) - This Pumpkin Soap is probably my favourite of the lot. Sharing its super spicy scent with the Jacko Bath Bomb, this limited edition soap has actually changed ingredients since it's original Halloween release in 2008. Not only is it shaped like a beautiful pumpkin but it is designed to be super warming for those cold Autumn nights. Made from cardamom, clove bud oil blend, organic orange juice and pumpkin puree, the soap itself is pretty much just the embodiment of Autumn. It smells like it could be a Yankee Candle. The orange juice allows the soap to fully lather up whilst the cardamom and clove bud oil are known for having calming and healing benefits. I love it.

Lush Demon in the Shower Gel
Demon in the Shower, Shower Gel (£11.25/250g) - Released as a limited edition Kitchen Exclusive and made from spicy clove bud oil and apples, the Demon in the Shower is inspired by good ole' fashioned Halloween apple bobbing. Combined with peppermint oil to sooth and refresh the skin and fresh apple juice to cleanse, this makes for quite the morning shower. I'll admit that this wasn't quite as expected as I had hoped it would have more of an apple scent but it's actually quite similar to toothpaste and the peppermint is very present. I do, however, really like how tingly it leaves the skin and it makes for an excellent Autumn themed shower gel.

Lush Lady Catrina Soap
Next up is the Lady Catrina Soap (£4.25/100g) - This particular one caught my eye for its zest of lime oil which although smells great, is also packed full of antioxidants. Originally released as a limited edition product in 2010, this particular soap was not to easy come by. Thankfully, it's back as part of the Halloween Kitchen exclusives. The Lady Catrina soap is designed to rejuvenate and awaken the senses and is one of the sweetest soaps going. Packed with soothing agave syrup and toning neroli, it also has moisturising rapeseed and coconut oil to prevent dryness caused by the cold weather. I really love the colours - it reminds me of a witch's cauldron and smells incredible.

Lush Boo Bath Melt
Boo Bath Melt (£3.50 each) - Isn't he adorable? This little ghost is designed to have calming and warming qualities; made up of spicy ginger oil combined with floral mimosa absolute. To unleash it's ghostly powers, simply pop him under the running bath tap and allow him to melt away. The melt (which doubles up as a bubble bar) is also made of Fair Trade Coco-Butter and mandarin oil which are super moisturising and give it that amazing floral yet fiery scent. This little guy combined with a delightful hot bath is ideal to help banish colds and stuffy noses.

Lush Bubbly Shower Gel
Last but not least is the Bubbly Shower Gel (£4.95/100g) - This isn't strictly a Halloween product but it was part of my recent bundle and so seemed only fair to include it anyway (plus - it's orange coloured, right?). I originally came across this shower gel at the Creative Showcase and having gotten through my first one so quickly, it was time to stock up. Inspired by a bucks fizz breakfast, the Bubbly Shower Gel is made from sweet orange and lime oil as well as fresh grape juice. The orange oil helps to make all those extra bubbles (saving you product) and the added vine leaf acts as a conditioner to sooth and condition the skin. It smells utterly divine.

Well, that's it for another LUSH Halloween. What products have you tried from the LUSH Halloween Collection? What do you think of my favourites? As always, I love reading your comments so please do leave me lots of lovely ones down below.

Until next time gals and ghouls,
