Outfit of the Day: That Gingham Smock Dress

Spring has officially sprung. The clocks have gone forward and we're finally seeing a little more sun in our day. Naturally, it's time to start cracking out the cotton dresses once more and, having recently stumbled across this gingham dress of dreams, it's time for a seasonal Outfit of the Day....

The past few weeks have proven to be quite eventful to say the least. Today will be my working last day at my current agency - somewhere I've grown a lot over three years. Whilst it wasn't an easy decision to leave the comfort of somewhere secure and with amazing people, I somehow landed my dream job in Leicester Square and I had to take a chance on myself. Of course, the thought of working somewhere I've hoped of being for years equally fills me excitement and fear but I am ready for a new adventure. I think I need to take more chances and get out of my comfort zone more often. A prime example being that I'm too worried to even share where I'll be working just in case it goes wrong - classic Sophie catastrophic thinking. However, once I'm settled and worked out what their policy is on sharing your job, I promise to be a bit more open about it.

So whilst today is one of mixed emotions, at the forefront I'm excited. I head off to Germany tomorrow to clear my head and have an awesome few days before starting a new chapter. I haven't had even a few minutes to pack or plan the itinerary yet but I can't wait.

Obviously, in my suitcase will be the dress pictured above. I'd been searching for a specific type of gingham smock dress online and on places such as eBay, Depop and other various sites for ages but I finally found it - and it was £13 in Primark of all places. Luckily it's been quite warm this week so I kept it simple with my trusty fedora and Dr Martens duo (my favourite Saddle bag and Polleys).

Well, that's it for another random rambling and an outfit of the day. I'm off to get my shit together and enjoy my last day at work. Don't forget, I love reading your comments so please do leave me lots of lovely ones down below.

Until next time,
