Beauty Review: LUSH Valentine's Day Favourites 2018

The countdown to Galentine's and Valentine's Day has officially begun. Naturally, all the shops are now filled with all the heart shaped goodies I can get my hands on. No matter how you're choosing to spend February 14th this year, self-pampering is important so here's some of my favourite pieces from LUSH's Valentine's Day collection.

Kiss Me Quick Wash Card, £2.00 each - The Kiss Me Quick wash card has gotten a change of look this year (it used to look like this). It is, however, since made from fresh apple pulp, enzymic oil from lemons and limes for a zesty deep cleanse. It also has ylang ylang to give it that sweet fragrance.

To use it, simply lather it up and use it like a sponge all over your body. Rinse off and enjoy soft, clean skin! I'd definitely recommend trying these out as they smell amazing - even if they are a bit of a novelty. I found these make for the perfect thing to slip in to a Galentine or Valentine's Day card.

Love Boat Bath Bomb, £4.25 each - Possibly one of the most popular products from this year's LUSH Valentine's collection is the Love Boat bath bomb. This little beauty really floats, sinking slowly to unleash a rainbow of zesty, citrus scents and tiny love hearts. Made from Sicilian Lemon oil, organic sweet orange oils and rose oil, it just smells incredible whilst also being super nourishing for your skin. I absolutely love the design of this particular product and think it makes for the ideal gift to your gal or guy this Valentine's.

Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar, £4.50 each - This magical unicorn horn is packed with lavender oil and neroli oil to relax and brighten up any bath tub. Of course, like many of the products from the Valentine's Day collection, it also contains Ylang Ylang for that beautiful floral scent.  For me, I just loved how it made the water a gorgeous bright pink. To activate this beautiful bubble bar, simply hold it under the tap when running your bath and watch the bubbles and pink foam flow. You can also crush it up in your hands and drop fragments in to the bath but keep in mind that it's super shimmery.

Tunnel of Love Soap, £5.95 per 100g - It smells as good as it is pretty. The Tunnel of Love soap is a bright citrus soap, made of uplifting and protective lime oil. It also contains soothing rose water which has calming qualities, combined with kaolin to gently cleanse your body. What was really surprising was despite it's citrusy scents (zesty lime and sweet wild orange oils), this soap is super creamy and moisturising.

Plum Rain Shower Gel, £5.75 per 100g - OK, so this isn't technically a Valentine's Day product but I picked it up as part of my mini haul anyway. Made from fresh plum juice and Silician oil, it just smells incredible. These products also help to rejuvenate the skin, as it is thought to improve the circulation of blood and lymph, particularly below the skin.  To make it even better, it also contains Carrageenan seaweed extract which acts as a natural cleanser and skin softener.

Well, that's it for another mini LUSH haul. As you know, I'm an absolute sucker for anything pink/red and heart-shaped but tell me, what were some of your favourites from the 2018 Valentine's Day collection? Have you tried any of the products above? As always, I love reading your comments so please do leave me lots of lovely ones below. No matter what your plans are this Valentine's or Galentine's Day, I hope you spend it doing what you love.

Until next time lovers,
