Travel Diary: Postcards from Brighton

Brighton Pier neon light
I'd been feeling rather impatient lately as mine and Jack's proper foreign holiday isn't until November and, seeing everyone else off on their hols, I was keen to get away if only for a few days. I then found out that Jack had never been to Brighton and, realising I had to change that, I booked us a few nights stay on the sunny seafront.  Here's a little look at our sunny seaside break...

For me, Brighton has always been a very nostalgic place - I visited there a lot as a child and feel in love with the pier and how wonderfully tacky it all is. As I grew up, I discovered the Lanes and the street art and just loved the atmosphere and people. As you can imagine, we spent a lot of our stay wandering the Lanes and exploring the seafront. I think it's safe to say that Jack really enjoyed his first visit to Brighton and I'm sure we'll be back there soon to revisit some of our favourite spots and some of the many spots we probably missed out on too. I will, of course, be sharing a few other posts from our trip so stay tuned for those also.

Well, that's it for another travel post. Have you been Brighton recently? What are your favourite spots from the seaside town? As always, I love reading your comments so please do leave me lots of lovely ones below.

Until next time fellow globetrotters,

    1. AH you must go! I'm so surprised at how many people have told me they've never been. I guess it's only an hour from me so I take it for granted but even as a child I just loved it and I think there's something for everyone. Hope you get to visit soon :) xx

  10. I'm glad you both enjoyed it :-) I absolutely love Brighton, particularly wandering around the lanes too - there's something about it that feels really special. I haven't been since last year so really want to rectify that as soon as I can, and stop in at my favourite food spot, Dos Somberos!
