Press Event: Star Wars The Mandalorian Season 3 Pop-Up Event, London

The Forge was strong this week as I attended an exclusive pop-up in London's Piccadilly Circus to celebrate season 3 of The Mandalorian on Disney+. Greeted by Star Wars’ most revered warriors, we enjoyed a night of photo ops, live music and a fully-stocked cantina.

The Forge is a two-day pop up inspired by the show’s armoury; with a real life forge and blacksmiths recreating Mandalorian’s Beskar. Decorated with steel helmets, Darksaber training and Mandalorians on patrol, guests were transported to the intergalactic wild west. Thankfully, there were droid photographers at hand to capture mementos from our visit and I snapped a few of my own as well.

Foundlings of all ages were welcomed, but for just for us elders there were a selection of signature themed cocktails; including blue milk and a delicious gin drink (I think they missed a trick not calling this The Jyn Erso). Also available were a selection of snacks that would make Grogu's mouth-water, including blue macarons and little Grogu decorated biscuits. Having raised a glass to Han Solo at the cantina bar, we were treated to an incredible live performance from Blue Harvest with music from the show.

Sadly, director Jon Favreau and everyone's favourite "slutty daddy", Pedro Pascal (pictured above), had already left the event by the time we got there, but it was still great to see some of their photos from the event too.

We were amazed to see the real blacksmith area, complete with heavy tools and a 1000 degree furnace, so maybe avoid bringing your big coat to this one. Fans can witness their own Beskar-inspired ‘ingot’ being stamped by the blacksmiths, one we were very excited to take home as a souvenir from the evening.

The 30-minute experience is open to the public until the 23rd February and free to attend - but only a limited number of guests will be allowed entry at any one time. There are also tickets available to walk-ins - but please be advised admission is not guaranteed and is subject to demand.

If you get a chance to attend, I couldn't recommend it enough and you’ll have had enough of a Mandalorian fix to tide you over until season three hits Disney+ on March 1. A huge thanks to Disney for allowing us to attend, we had the best evening and, as always with any Disney event, the level of detail put in to everything was just fantastic. And of course to my wonderful friend Clarisse, Amon and Hannah who I had an absolutely awesome night with.

So tell me, will you be watching The Mandalorian season three on March 1st? What have you loved about the show so far? As always, I love reading your comments so please share your thoughts with me below.

Until next time Foundlings, may the force be with you always...

Disclaimer: I was allowed to attend this event as part of a PR night but no review was requested. As always, all opinions are my own.
